So you’ve decided to take the next step in your relationship and you want to ask your girlfriend to marry you. Great! But how do you ask her in a way that will bring butterflies to her stomach and a lovely memory for the rest of your life. There are a number of ways you can do this so you’re not stuck with bending down on one knee after tea or the six o’ clock news.
Create a Slideshow
You want your girlfriend to be reminded of all the happy memories and good times you’ve had together throughout your relationship so why not dig out all those old photos (no matter how bad your hairstyles are!) and put together a nice presentation with some nice music. You can surprise her with this over a nice glass of wine and homemade candle lit dinner.
Take Her to That Special Place
Now there are two ways you can go about this. You can either take her to that special place where she had lots of happy memories as a child or whilst she was growing up or you can take her to that special place where you have both shared a lovely experience together. It might be the place where you both first met or where you took her somewhere for the first time that she enjoyed. You want to bring those feelings back to her of where she was really happy so she can then share that happiness with you.
The Beach
If you have a beach nearby or even if you don’t you could take a nice long drive out and spend the day with her. When night time comes you can go for a walk along the beach when its quiet and the moon is in the sky or if you can’t wait that long another good way is to propose to her while the sun is setting. The sound of the see and view of the sunset will make he go weak at the knees!
Fulfil Her Fantasy
Every girl has a dream proposal just like they have a dream wedding. Before popping the big questions try and drop subtle hints as to what her dream proposal would be. You could say something like “Oh XXX proposed to his girlfriend the other day by doing XXX, not bad what do you think?” This is pretty good question to use because when you ask her opinion on it you’re giving her the chance to expand her answer and put herself in the position of being proposed to thus finding out what she would prefer. Of course if she replies with something along the lines of “well I don’t know because I’m not ready for that yet so I’ve never really thought of it” you may want to take a step back for a bit.
There of course many other ways you can propose to your girlfriend but this will depend on what kind of person she is. Some people use roses whereas others use skydives. The main thing you want to do is create a sense of happiness in her before actually popping the question and with this you could look forward to spending the rest of your life with her.
