Smile for Your Life…It’s Good for You

Why is it the funny people that always win our hearts?  Perhaps because they make us feel good about ourselves, less stressed, light as a feather, forget our worries…
One simple and fun way to help you improve your life and live longer is something you can do right now…Smile!
Smiling is a fantastic way to improve a lot of factors in your life and make you feel better in an instant.

As well as improving your health and reducing your stress levels smiling can:

1)   Improves Your Mood

Smiling can trick your body and mind to improve your current state.  If you are feeling down, try and put on a smile or even better have a really good giggle – there’s a good chance that you will feel better after.

2)  Smiling is Infectious

As mentioned at the start of this post and in other posts on our blog, smiling is attractive and contagious.  Draw people to you by being relaxed and fun company.

3)  Smiling can Relieve Your Stress and Boost Your Immune System

Tiredness and stress can be read on our faces by looking worn out, dull etc.  Put some glow back into your face and sparkle back into your eyes by smiling.  You generally feel better too and we know that illness can strike you when you are down, stressed and upset.

4)  Smiling Makes You Look Younger

Now this is more like it!  You can look younger by smiling as a smile lifts the face and brings the sparkle back into your eyes.  See how different you look by standing in front of the mirror, now frown, see how you look – now smile, now see how you look!  Big difference.

It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile so reduce wrinkles and get smiling.

5)  Smiling can help You be more Positive about Life

Smiling can help you feel better about your life.  It’s hard work feeling down and depressed so take the easy road and smile your way out of negativity and onto success.

Yes, smiling and laughing are mood elevators for our self and for those in our presence, plus smiling does not cost a thing! Great advice.

Hey Mark, thank you for your comment and a very good point…a lot of things that can temporarily cheer you up costs money but just smiling costs nothing!

Smiling is the best way to overcome negative thinking. It helps put me in a better state of mind all the time.

I love that you took time to write this wonderful post. It’s so nice.

Thanks.

Hi Sonia. I couldn’t agree more. Smiling keeps us young. When I’m feeling stressed and I remember to stop and smile, I find it helps me let go just a little bit. It really does lighten the load.
